2025 Christmas Parade – Float Preparation & Participation Details Friday, November 28, 2025

26 Nov by Daniel Dinkel

We will be assembling the Junction City Wrestling Club Christmas float at Lincoln Elementary. The school parking lot will be available for anyone needing to leave a vehicle, and the building will be open for restroom access or a warm place to wait.

Float Preparation
- Location: Lincoln Elementary
- Start Time: 4:00 p.m.
- Please remember that we are on a tight schedule—all entries must be staged no later than 4:45 p.m.

What to Wear
- Wrestlers and families are encouraged to wear green, red, or JCWC gear paired with black bottoms. The parade committee will provide extra festive accessories.
- With temperatures expected to be in the 40s, please make sure everyone dresses warmly.

If You’re Not Decorating but Want to Participate in the Parade
- Participants who are joining only for the parade should meet us in the staging area between 5:00–5:15 p.m. We know that some of you will be weighing in for the Beloit tournament. Join when you can.

Staging Area: Eisenhower between 11th Street and 8th Street
- We will post our exact location in the team chat once the truck is in line.
- Parents are welcome to join us on the parade route.

Parade Route
- Floats will begin on Eisenhower, travel south, and turn left onto 6th Street, heading east toward Heritage Park.

End of Route – Heritage Park
- Police will guide floats to turn left toward 8th Street and into the designated drop-off area.
- We will share our exact drop-off point in the team chat upon arrival.
- After the parade, we will remove decorations, and the truck will return to Eisenhower Street and Lincoln Elementary for those who parked there.

Heritage Park Festivities
- The final parade entry will feature Santa and Mrs. Claus, who will stop at Santa’s House where Santa and Mayor Landes will officially light the Christmas displays. Children are welcome to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus afterward.
- United Way will also be in the park serving hot cocoa (donations appreciated).

Parade Rules & Safety Guidelines
- Walkers must be 10 years of age or older.
- Children under 10 must ride on the float.
- Anyone handing out candy or items must walk alongside the float, not behind it.
- Individuals distributing candy should bring their own candy in a Christmas gift bag.
- Candy cannot be thrown from the moving float—it must be handed out by walkers.
